'Game of Thrones' prequel 'House of the Dragon': Fans 'irrationally happy' with use of iconic 'GOT' theme as INTRO
The premiere episode for ‘House of the Dragon’ had it all. From epic action sequences to extraordinary drama, the prequel to ‘Game of Thrones’ started with a bang and a lot of people believed that it was better than the premiere of its mother series. If there’s one thing that was missing during the premiere, it was the INTRO. Everyone knows how iconic the ‘GOT’ theme music was and it only helped the show reach a new level.
However, the makers have finally introduced the new intro for the prequel and it features the same iconic theme music they created for the ‘Game of Thrones’. Yes, you heard it right. Composed by the supremely talented Ramin Djawadi, the intro followed the same ‘GOT’ formula. A similar setup, except a lot bloodier. The intro manages to tell a brief history about House Targaryen and it’s bloody as hell.

Djawadi took everyone by storm with the theme music when ‘Game of Thrones’ began and instantly became one of the most iconic themes in Television’s history. The composer was even nominated at the World Soundtrack Awards for the theme and other soundtracks for the show.
It surely took us back to the good old days when ‘Game of Thrones’ used to floor us with extraordinary storytelling. As of now, ‘House of the Dragon’ is doing the same.
'House of the Dragon' returns to HBO with a new episode every Sunday at 9 pm EST.
