The premiere episode for ‘House of the Dragon’ had it all. From epic action sequences to extraordinary drama, the prequel to ‘Game of Thrones’ started with a bang and a lot of people believed that it was better than the premiere of its mother series. If there’s one thing that was missing during the premiere, it was the INTRO. Everyone knows how iconic the ‘GOT’ theme music was and it only helped the show reach a new level.

However, the makers have finally introduced the new intro for the prequel and it features the same iconic theme music they created for the ‘Game of Thrones’. Yes, you heard it right. Composed by the supremely talented Ramin Djawadi, the intro followed the same ‘GOT’ formula. A similar setup, except a lot bloodier. The intro manages to tell a brief history about House Targaryen and it’s bloody as hell.

As soon as the intro surfaced online, fans went absolutely berserk and shared their excitement about the intro. Social media users believed that it was a perfect tribute to one of the finest TV series ever and they are glad that HBO brought it back for ‘HOTD’. One of the fans wrote, “Irrationally happy about the intro for #HouseOfTheDragon.” Another social media user wrote, “THE intro is back and it’s beautiful I’m in shock.” Another fan tweeted, “I love how #HouseOfTheDragon didn’t even bother with a new theme song. What other score beyond that iconic theme would have sufficed for an intro?”

“This show and its intros really are a work of art,” wrote another fan. Meanwhile, there were many who were not disappointed with the show using the same theme because it gave them “chills”. One of the fans wrote, “I have no issue whatsoever with #HouseOfTheDragon using the GOT intro. That theme gives me chills every time.” Another social media user tweeted, “I’m not even mad at #HouseOfTheDragon using the same intro music as GOT cuz it’s iconic really.” Another fan tweeted, “The opening credit sequence gave me massive chills y'all.”
