NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ show hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager often add a delightful touch to their ‘Today with Hoda and Jenna’ segment with their witty and quirky banter.

Recently, the pair dished some quirky thoughts on an article titled “thirstiest thing a man can do is read.”

Kotb and Hager discussed their personal opinions about how they believe a man's ability to read makes him more attractive during a segment on Monday, October 9 broadcast of 'Today with Hoda and Jenna'.

This comes after Kotb attended Fort Hunt High School’s 60th anniversary celebration alongside her daughter, Hope, over the weekend.

Kotb won audiences and her fans' hearts as she spoke about being a “late bloomer” during the school reunion.

She said, “The other thing I learned in high school was it’s okay to be a late bloomer. All of the best things in my happened after 50,” which received great applause from the audience.

During a recent ‘Today with Hoda and Jenna’ segment, the screen reflected an article from Bustle that said, “The thirstiest thing a man can do is read.”

Kotb instantly chimed in as Hager agreed with her saying, “It’s hot. It is hot.”

Kotb continued, “It’s like, I’m just reading,” while Hager made a hilarious comment, “I’m dehydrated when a man takes out a book.”

The 59-year-old morning show host then asked Hager, “Okay, you see a man with a book sitting on a park bench in Central Park reading. What is the first thing that you’re thinking?”

Hager said, “I mean, eyeglasses? If they have a little eyeglasses, too, just sitting reading and if they’re reading something I respect.”

She continued, “In nature, reading gives you extra points. Nature plus, glasses, plus book, that I approve of.”

The ladies then showed off an image of famous celebrities including Ryan Reynolds, Channing Tatum, and Michael B Jordan. The photos capture the actors holding a book in their hands, posing as if they're reading it.

Kotb and Hager started off with Reynolds who held a book in his hand, however, had his eyes set somewhere else. Kotb said, “No, he’s not really reading. He’s faking.”

Coming to Jordan who was actually reading while sitting by the bathtub, Kotb said, “Michael B is totally immersed,” as Hager shouted, “Reading by the bathtub?”

The ladies moved to Tatum, who also had a similar look to Reynolds as Kotb said, “Channing Tatum is also not reading.”

The camera panned back to the ladies as Hager continued to shout her opinion, “It does matter. Because, fake reading, actually, you lose a point. There’s a whole game here."

She further added, "Michael B Jordan is the only one I’m interested in. Because he’s by a bathroom and he’s actually reading. And he’s in a tank top.”

Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager react hilariously to viral TikTok video

Last week, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager had a highly memorable response to a viral TikTok video in which a young girl interviewed older individuals about how they managed before the advent of technologies like Google.

Kotb and Hager's reaction surprised everyone, as they couldn't help but respond with sarcasm to the TikTok video.

Kotb said, "We had to pull into the gas station, and say, ‘Hey, I’m sorry, Which way is Elm Street? Is it this way? Or is it left?’ You know what you did? You had an interaction. We interacted. Talk to somebody."
