Hit or Flop? 'Harry & Meghan' takes more than 30 HOURS to top Netflix's Top 10 TV shows list
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It’s been more than 30 hours since the docu-series ‘Harry & Meghan’ made its way to Netflix, and is undoubtedly one of the most controversial titles of 2022. Part One of the series released on Thursday, December 8, and fans flocked to the streaming platform to see what’s the fuss about. The docu-series primarily focuses on the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and how they decided to move away from the royal family. Fans were hugely divided over the series and shared a lot of contrasting reviews on social media.
However, it was reported that the series will top the Netflix list of Top 10 TV shows in the US in a couple of hours and will continue to retain that spot. But it seems, viewers were not that excited about the docu-series as it took more than 30 hours to claim the numero uno position on the streaming platform.

According to Flix Patrol, the docu-series replaced ‘Wednesday’ and claimed the first spot in Netflix’s Top 10 shows in the US. However, it took a lot of time for the series to gather steam. In the first 24 hours, the streaming platform showed that ‘Wednesday’ was leading the chart while ‘The Crown’ entered the Top 10 as fans wanted to prepare themselves for the docuseries. However, the docuseries gathered steam after a few hours and claimed the top spot.
It is worth noticing that Netflix hasn’t released how many viewers tuned in to watch the first three episodes. The streaming platform might release the figures once the last three episodes drop on December 15.
The docu-series is one of the most polarizing shows of all time and gathered mixed reviews from viewers. The news comes almost 24 hours before it was reported that ‘Harry & Meghan’ opened to a dismal 1.9 rating on IMDb and a 21% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Duke of Sussex also discussed his mother Princess Diana and the panorama interview that took place in 1995. He also recalled the kind of harassment she faced at the time. As of now, there has not been any official statement made by the royal household.
The second part of three episodes is slated to be released on December 15.
