HGTV's latest show 'Renovation Island' is garnering a lot of attention from fans, right from wondering where the couple got their money from to if their marriage will survive following the filming of the show. Bryan and Sarah Baeumler embarked on an adventure of a lifetime, when they decided to leave their comfortable and cushy life behind, and uproot their family from their home in Canada to move to the Bahamas.

They bought an abandoned resort on a remote island in the Bahamas called Andros. The couple then took on the ambitious project of renovating the old, rundown resort into a luxurious tourist hotspot. On the show 'Renovation Island', we see how Sarah and Bryan get around to converting the resort from an ancient piece of junk into a swanky, new resort.

Although the show is just two episodes old, fans have some very strong feelings about the couple's adventure. After watching the show, fans couldn't help but feel that the whole show may be fake and might have been created just for television. The couple's constant arguments with each other, the ever-growing budget and the tight deadlines, certainly make for an entertaining watch, but is that really the reality

Many fans also pointed out how Sarah's outfits on the show are never appropriate for renovation and construction work. We saw Sarah wearing diamonds and pearls, aside from strutting around in all-white outfits, while on the construction site. After watching Sarah's style, and the way Bryan was behaving with her, fans took to their social media to declare the show as 'fake'.

A fan tweeted, "#renovationisland this show is the most fake show I have ever seen. Ever. I’m 19 minutes in and it’s unwatchable due to the ridiculousness of the entire thing." Another fan wrote, "Makes me stressed just watching it 👀 I feel like half of is fake and exaggerated Bryan can't be that stupid.... Sarah looks like she's taking it real hard too 😳 Leave it to Bryan was annoying but this is on another level!!!"

"Ok- watching the new #renovationisland show. Episode 1, already frustrated by how fake it is. The wife is wearing white, to demolish buildings. And we’re supposed to believe that crab was sitting under a pot for months? Reality TV needs to be more REALISTIC," expressed a fan. Another fan pointed out, "Sarah, thanks for reminding us that gold and diamonds are necessary construction attire accessories. #RenovationIsland."

'Renovation Island' airs every Sunday at 8 pm only on HGTV.
