LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cole Houser recently had an interview where he talked about all things 'Yellowstone'. The 46-year-old, voted as one of America's sexiest TV cowboys gave an insight into what it was like shooting with co-actor Forrie J Smith during the infamous fight sequence.

The first season of Taylor Sheridan and John Linson's neo-Western drama television series 'Yellowstone' debuted on the Paramount Network on June 20, 2018. The series follows the conflicts along the shared borders of the Yellowstone Ranch, a large cattle ranch, the Broken Rock Indian reservation, Yellowstone National Park, and land developers. The first half of Season 5 of 'Yellowstone' aired on November 13, 2022, and the second half is all set to premiere in 2023.

'He's a buckaroo'

"[Forrie J. Smith] has done the stunts throughout his career and obviously he's a buckaroo," Houser explained during his interview with Entertainment Tonight. He added, "He's flown off a few horses so he allowed me to throw him around pretty good." Hauser went on to say that there were no stunt doubles employed for the fight sequence, making the confrontation seem even more authentic to viewers. Although Smith may have fallen severely, Hauser was there to help him get back up.

Which sequence is Houser talking about?

Ranch hands with branding are untouchable in 'Yellowstone'. At the bunkhouse, there is no fighting, and anyone who touches a branded employee is probably not going to get punished. This level of safety is aggressively enforced by Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser). Although branded and aware of the laws, Lloyd (Forrie J Smith) had made mistakes in the past.

After a brief romance with barrel racer Laramie (Hassie Harrison), Lloyd is devastated when she dumps him in favor of Walker (Ryan Bingham), a fellow ranch hand. This makes Lloyd jealous and he picks a fight with the employee strumming a guitar despite the fact that they are both branded. Fights are prohibited, and Rip must set Lloyd as an example. One of Rip's most graphic moments from the series results from this. He beats his friend bloody and claims that this is to protect Lloyd from himself before stomping on his friend's hand with his boot.
