Hannah Waddingham on ‘Ted Lasso’ spinoff
During the ‘Today 3rd Hour’ on November 13, Al Roker suggested to one of the show's stars, Hannah Waddingham, that a delightful Christmas gift for fans would be either another season of the Emmy-winning comedy or a spinoff.
Waddingham then shared her thoughts on the possibility.
She said, “I would love that. But, I mean, one thing's for sure: Unless the man himself is down with that, then it's not for me," referring to Jason Sudeikis.
When Roker asked if one of the characters might have their own show, Waddingham, who earned an Emmy Award for portraying AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, remained tight-lipped.
She responded, "I don't know. I don’t know. AFC Richmond is so close to my heart," and revealed her efforts to persuade her castmates to get greyhound tattoos in tribute to the Greyhound team featured in the show.

‘Ted Lasso’ director Declan Lowney on potential spinoff
The future of ‘Ted Lasso’ remains shrouded in mystery, but potential spinoff ideas have already surfaced, courtesy of one of its directors.
Declan Lowney, who directed several episodes of the show, including the final two of Season Three, shared insights on how the story could evolve in a recent interview with Awards Radar.
"Jason always said it was three seasons; he’s wrapped everybody’s stories up very nicely," Lowney noted.
“But there’s a whole bunch of things aren’t there that have been set up in the last montage in the last few minutes that are potential spin offs,” he added.
As the hit Apple TV+ series concluded its Season Three in May, the absence of official confirmation from the streaming platform leaves fans in anticipation.
