'Hamilton' opened on Friday, July 3, to rave reviews on Disney+ and fans have been praising most elements of the film including cast performances. One of the actors trending heavily on social media was Jonathan Groff who returned to play King George in the film. The actor joined 'Hamilton's cast when it first hit Broadway in 2015. His role was previously essayed by Brian D’Arcy in the off-Broadway production.

Fans took to Twitter to praise the performance of the Grammy Award-winning actor and singer who has been part of some high-profile projects. "I’m going to need 2 hrs and 40 mins of Jonathan Groff as King George in #HamiltonFilm," a fan wrote. "He stole the show!!!" another fan seconded. "He is the heart of Hamilton, we love jgroff !!!" added a fan who was in awe of his performance. "The humor he added was so entertaining. I LOVED" the fan said. "He’s like my favorite he’s so funny," a fan tweet read.
