Things seem to be looking better for 'Halo'. Episode 5 titled 'Reckoning' garnered some positive reviews on social media after fans slammed a previous couple of episodes for dull writing and lack of action. The latest chapter though brings back the high-octane battle sequences and also lent an interesting storyline as far as Makee is concerned. The episode ends with the Covenant making away with the second artifact after waging an all-out attack against the UNSC.

While there were a few fans who were still miffed with how the series has shaped up so far, one segment still feels there's hope and that 'Reckoning' was the best episode of the series so far. With the Covenant now in possession of one of the artifacts and Makee with the UNSC, only time will tell what's in store for John 117 (Pablo Schreiber), the Spartans, and the shot-callers in the UNSC.

"@HaloTheSeries episode 5 is definitely the best of the bunch so far (though I don't think it's been a particularly high bar to clear) thanks in no small part to the battle scene. The action was mostly great, but I still don't know why they're afraid to use actual Halo music," one of the comments read. This was seconded by another who said, "@HaloTheSeries Episode 5 is WILD!! What an incredible and amazing ride that was wow wow wow!!! #HaloTheSeries #halo #Halo #HaloSeries."

"If you fell off of the Halo TV show before episode 5 (and I understand if you did), give it one more go. That was fun!!!" a tweet said. Some felt it could be better. "Halo episode 5: finally an action scene. Chief stuff is still interesting. Silver team is pretty cool. Everything else kinda sucks. The battle scene was pretty good & I was surprised by the random gore in it. But there are still so many cheesy, confusing, & boring things going on," a fan opined.

"Halo episode 5 rating: Kwan story is getting boring a sin so I skipped it Master chief as a character is incredibly inaccurate Miranda, Captain Keyes and halsey are cool THAT ENDING FIGHT SCENE WAS SICK 9/10 i have a soft spot for covenant battles," another tweet read. "I am absolutely loving the Halo series. I haven't watched a series week-to-week like this since Breaking Bad. Episode 5 was just pure, absolute, non-negotiable," a fan remarked. "Really hope that #HaloTheSeries #HaloSeries #Halo épisode 5 is good. It started pretty cool with épisode 1, but all 3 other episodes have been boring exposition... I want some fights ! And FFS let Chief keep his freaking helmet on !!" a tweet read.
