'Hacks' Season 2 is here to give us a little more drama than before and we're here for it. For those new to the show, the first season focused on a dark and comic mentorship between Deborah and an entitled writer named Ava. The duo did not get along but they put aside their differences to set their careers on track. The two eventually get to know each other and don't fail to encourage each other whenever needed.

Now, we have Season 2 of the dramedy series that has a little more fun and a lot more betrayal and sarcasm as it delves into the atypical female friendship. The initial episodes will leave you craving for more as it shows Deborah back to square one in terms of her career but now more stressed than ever. Fans are raving about the plot twists the new season is serving up.

'Hacks': Deborah tries to deal with her failing career in her own comic way

The fan base is picking out their favourite lines of dialogue from the show and crushing on Debora's ever-so-sassy personality. The story went on air with its Season 1 in 2021 and now, in its second season, there has been a surge in audience numbers with everyone wanting to get a bite of the 'chicken pot pie'. One of the fans tweeted with, "'Don’t psychoanalyze my chicken pot pie,' may be my favorite tv line of 2022, so far." Another added, "Despite embargoes whittling down my list this week, Watchable has some good ones including #Hacks Season 2 and Shoresy."

Some viewers took out time to write about Jean Smart, who plays Deborah in the series, hailing her genius in portraying the acerbic character and bringing to life what the show writers have penned. The weirdly comic relationship of Jean Smart (Deborah) and Hannah Einbinder (Ava) is something to look forward to as each of their interactions carry a refreshing lick of humor. One fan commented, "Only watch season 2 of #HacksOnHBOMax if you’re a fan of the best writing, directing and acting on TV. Jean Smart is a National Treasure. ", while another added, "'You know, when you meet somebody who gets your sense of humour, it's so intimate and so fabulous.' Together with the creators of #Hacks, Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder share more about the evolution of Deborah and Ava in Season 2 of this Emmy-winning comedy."

Some of the other tweets about the show are equally complimentary, celebrating the attention paid to character detail and development, ringing true when it came to generational differences and 'perfectly observed' quirks. One fan gushed, "Season 1 of #Hacks was one of the best shows I’ve seen this year - and with Severance and Slow Horses it’s been a great year. A perfectly observed character and generation study that gets all the sharp comedy out of its authenticity. Roll on season 2." Another tweet read, "Cannot believe I got war flashbacks to Killing Eve while watching season 2 of #hacks with the tarot cards. The death card! Which isn't all bad, it could mean - REBIRTH argh I hate it here," A Jean Smart fan said, "is easily the funniest show in years. Don't sleep on it! Season 2 digs in emotionally and Jean Smart is captivating."
