HBO Max has come out with Season 2 of its beloved show 'Hacks' and we're extremely excited about it. For those new to the show, the first season focused on a dark and comic mentorship between Deborah and an entitled writer named Eva. The duo did not get along but they have put aside their differences to set their careers on track. The two eventually get to know about each other's pasts but don't fail to encourage each other whenever needed.

Now, we have season 2 of the comic series that has a little more fun, more betrayal, sarcasm, and friendship. The initial episodes will leave you craving for more as it shows Deborah back to square one in terms of her career and is now more stressed than ever. Her fragile relationship with her daughter and her mentorship with Ava are getting on her nerves, what will she do next?

Season 2 starts with Deborah and Ava off on the tour that Deborah has planned to get her career back on track. Meanwhile, an e-mail that Ava wrote in haste after the duo's big fight is taking a toll on her as she now realizes she's made a big mistake and feels guilty about it. She struggles with the thought of telling Deborah the truth about it and eventually tells her in episode two. The season focuses on Deborah trying to get her career back on track as she feels like her reputation in her hometown is drowning.

What messes up Deborah's self-esteem more is her meeting with her ex at one of her son-in-law's fights and seeing him with another woman. That ignites the fire in her and she tells Ava that they will leave for her comedy tour right away! Meanwhile, Ava gathers the courage and then explains to Deborah about the e-mail that she sent. Deborah now feels like everything at this point is going against her. She decides against taking back her throne and going back to doing stand-up comedy again.
