Hacker leaks photo of Blackpink star in a bathtub, fans beg YG to 'protect Jennie's privacy'
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: It looks like hacker Gurumiharibo has crossed a line as they supposedly leaked a photo of Blackpink's Jennie in a bathtub. Many claim they did it because they were frustrated that fans were calling the leaked photos with BTS' V fake. However, whether the photo of the Blackpink star in a bathtub is real or fake, fans are begging her label YG to protect Jennie's privacy.
Blackpink's Jennie and BTS' V aka Kim Taehyung have been embroiled in a dating rumor since May. With the aggressive way the hackers are targetting the two K-pop idols, their fandoms have united to protect them, regardless of whether the photos are real or edited. However, non-fans and Knetizens have been sending them hate as dating is taboo in the K-pop industry. There are already viral posts demanding V and Jennie leave their groups, while some claim that V has an attitude problem and that Jennie has too many boyfriends.

Hacker supposedly leaks Blackpink Jennie's photo in a bathtub
Since late August, hacker Gurumiharibo and a couple of other hackers have been supposedly leaking dating photos of BTS' V and Blackpink's Jennie. Some are clearly edited as confirmed by the hackers themselves while some look real and are allegedly leaked from Jennie's iCloud or personal Instagram. On September 20, one of the hackers shared a selfie taken by Jennie in a bathtub with a black heart emoji. Many claim that it is fake since her mole is missing. But fans feel that if the photo is real, it is invading Jennie's privacy and if it is fake, the hackers are dehumanizing her. Even BTS fans are worried and the two fandoms have gotten together to request Blackpink's label YG to take legal action.
'Getting out of hand'
K-pop Twitter has been trending 'protect Jennie's privacy' and have created an uproar. A fan said this dating rumor was beyond provoking BTS and Blackpink fans, "Exactly like this isnt a fanwar thing at all i need ppl to realize this is getting scary and it needs to end now." A BTS fan commented, "I do not gaf if you don’t like jennie or if you don’t like taehyung, this is getting scary. if g*rumi has those almost-revealing images of jn who knows what else they might have. put aside the fanwar for two f**king seconds nobody deserves to have those pictures leaked."
One fan wrote, "Jennie’s pic in a bath tub is clearly edited again but it is still disrespectful and clearly maligns her reputation. Why do you always pick on Jennie? @ygent_official @BLACKPINK do something to protect your artist! This is insane!!!" Another fan begged the hacker, "Ok... now stop it... we don't need that!! well! they are dating...I understand that they are in a relationship, so now what is your gain or your loss? Stop now, too much has happened... now please stop it. You win! We believe you, Don't try to Insult Our Artists." One fan tweeted, "This invasion of privacy is getting out of hand wtf @ygent_official be useful for once and protect Jennie’s privacy."
