'Grey's Anatomy', 'The Last of Us' among nominees for GLAAD ‘Queer Fan Favorite’ award
New York City, New York (Release): GLAAD has announced the addition of the newest GLAAD Media Awards ‘Queer Fan Favorite’ which invites the GLAAD community to vote on their favorite TV series or film from a list of contenders from the past year. Fans also have the option to “write in” a project, if one of their favorites is not reflected in the list of 10.
The 'Queer Fan Favorite' honors television and film projects that have resonated most strongly with audiences around the world, as demonstrated by their robust viewership, immense social media followings, and formidable fandoms. These projects have had a profound impact on accelerating acceptance for LGBTQ people, and are now going head-to-head to see who is truly the 'Queer Fan Favorite'.
The winner will be announced at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York City on Saturday, May 11. Voting will open here from Wednesday, April 3 at 9am ET/6am PT until Wednesday, April 17 at 11.59pm ET/8.59pm PT.
