Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) is dying from Covid-19. While she would rather prefer to sleep and see her dead husband Derek (Patrick Dempsey) in her dreams, the doctors of Grey-Sloane memorial are doing everything they can, to save her from the deadly virus. Meredith has survived a lot in 16 years, emotional trauma aside, she has escaped gunmen, survived a bomb blast, a plane crash and drowning. So, hopefully, Covid-19 should not be the kiss of death for her.

Yet her dreams are sweet. She is seeing Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and now, she's seeing George (TR Knight). George died at the end of Season 5 after he was dragged by a truck for six blocks. It was a heartbreaking death, as it was one of the first main exits for the inner circle of the original interns. Fans were not ready emotionally to see George in the latest episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' and least hear about how he wished to stay and not die.

"HE WANTED TO STAY!!! SHONDA YOU HEAR THAT???? HE WANTED TO STAY!!!! FUCK THIS SHIT IM TIRED OF CRYING OVER GEORGE #GreysAnatomy," a fan wrote. George tells Meredith that he even checks upon Meredith and her kids. "George: “I check in sometimes.” @GreysABC@EllenPompeo #GreysAnatomy," a fan tweeted.

George even calls out Meredith for laughing at his funeral, which was her coping strategy at the time. "Meredith: I was devastated when you died George: You were all cracking up at my funeral.  SCREAMING #GreysAnatomy," a fan wrote. However, fans can't understand why Meredith can walk next to George, but still can't hug Derek. It seems as if she crosses over to Derek, she might actually be dead. "Explain to me why mer can walk with George and derek couldn't get a second #GreysAnatomy," a fan wrote. "hy is it we got two full episodes of Dereck and Meridith saying exactly 4 sentences to each other but with George we get an actual conversation? I really hope there is a real conversation btw Derick and Mer before this dream sequence is over #GreysAnatomy," a fan asked.
