When will 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 air next? Fans can expect a two-hour 'Station 19' crossover when it returns

Episode 9 titled 'Let’s All Go to the Bar' did bring much to the table — right from a baby to a reunion and a tragedy! But where will the show go from here?

Still reeling under the shocks, surprises and suspense from 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 Episode 9? Titled 'Let’s All Go to the Bar', the hour-long drama did bring much to the table — right from a baby to a reunion and a tragedy! But where will the show go from here?

The fall finale is over and the ABC show will go on a winter break now. So when can you expect to see the longest-running medical show again? It is expected that after a short hiatus during the Christmas period, 'Grey's Anatomy' will return to the channel on January 23 with a major two-hour Station 19 crossover episode.

Previously, there have been several cross-over moments between 'Grey's Anatomy' and fellow ABC firehouse drama, 'Station 19' — with Vic Hughes also playing Jackson's girlfriend in the new season. Expect to see more such mishmash as the Season 16 and Season 3 midseason premieres for the two shows, respectively, will coincide and the big event will begin with 'Station 19' at 8 pm ET while 'Grey's Anatomy' will return to its former 9 pm ET time slot, as ABC announced on Thursday.

After the promo of the last episode, the narrator dramatically said: "In a fall finale with one shock after another and an ending that will leave you so on the edge, you’ll be counting down the days till Grey’s is back." Building its big climax after the midseason break, there might be some heartbreaks, major medical challenges, new cast introductions, and more melodrama.

"Lord, I am so done with the “ Love triangles” going on with Mer," one viewer wrote and another commented, "Please don’t let anyone die I need them to be on the show." Another fan wrote: "They killed Miranda baby and took a happy Amelia Shepard and link and told us basically that the baby wasn’t Link's but it was Owen's and so no more surprises or deaths." What's more, there was another bizarre request by a fan who said he wanted to see a 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'How To Get Away With Murder' crossover.

Can't wait to see where the lives of doctors at Grey-Sloan Hospital and Pac North go? Wait for the new episode to air on Thursday, January 23 on ABC at 8|7c.
