It has been more than a year since fans watched new episodes of Netflix's 'Greenhouse Academy', but the wait won't be for much longer as season three drops on Netflix this fall.

Adapted from the Israeli television show 'The Greenhouse', 'Greenhouse Academy' is set in an elite boarding school in California and follows the students of the school with the same name as they tackle life-threatening mysteries while staying on top of their courses.

Season one begins with Hayley and Alex Woods joining the Academy in opposing houses, eight months after their astronaut mother is presumed dead following a rocket explosion.

Both teens are coping with the loss their own way, but on joining the Academy, they realize there's more to the mystery of their mother's supposed death and mission.

The Academy is divided into the Ravens, the smart ones and the Eagles, the sporty ones, in a bid to increase healthy competition and much of the first two seasons is about that. However, by the end of season two, students of both houses begin to work together to beat a deadly plot involving manmade earthquakes.

Release date

All episodes of season three will be released on Netflix on October 25.

Plot

With the overarching mystery solved at the end of season two, we will return to a different Greenhouse Academy in season three. Louis Osmond, the head of the school, wants everything to get back to normal but feels that with the Ravens and the Eagles working together, his purpose of creating two houses to foster community and competition is not getting accomplished.

And so, as the new season begins, a new competition arrives which promises the winners a piece of "magnetite", the element that was central to the plots of the earlier seasons.

But there is a mysterious figure who is after this piece of magnetite and following the events of the last two seasons, everyone in the Greenhouse Academy is under investigation. There will be new threats to deal with when the show returns.
