Bambam is ready to drop his next solo album. But before that, fans are in for a treat because we are getting the pre-release single ‘Who Are You’ featuring none other than Red Velvet’s Seulgi. GOT7 fans were first blessed with a barrage of content as we got back to back singles from Jay B and Youngjae and commercials from ‘brand king’ Jackson. We even had Yugyeom in the recording studio working on his next comeback while Ahagses (GOT7’s fandom) are having the time of their lives with Mark turning into a Twitch streamer and idol actor Jinyoung gracing magazine covers.

Bambam had his solo debut in June 2021 with the release of his first mini-album ‘riBBon’. Fans loved the eccentric color that the GOT7 star finally got to show with his solo piece of music. We got diverse genres from R&B pop to hip hop tracks. And now fans are excited for the pre-release ‘Who Are You’. And it looks like Bambam wants to end 2021 with a bang as he has possibly solidified the collab of the year by roping in Red Velvet’s Seulgi.

Release date

GOT7’s Bambam will release his pre-release single ‘Who Are You’ ft Red Velvet’s Seulgi on December 28 at 6 pm KST (4 am ET).

The collaborative single will be available on all major music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, MelOn and more.

Concept

Bambam first announced his single with the logo of his new tattoo – a one-line drawing of both of his side profiles. He then dropped the first set of teaser images as he looks moody in black and white teasers. Dressed in a white turtle neck and swept-back hair, he looks at the camera while facing a mirror which is similar to the one-line drawn logo. He then dropped another angsty concept photo as there is a girl facing him with her back to the camera. Both are dressed in black while a ghostly white light falls on them, continuing the theme of black and white. It was later revealed through the music video teaser that the girl is none other than Red Velvet’s Seulgi.

Music video teasers

Unlike the playful ‘riBBon’ music video, ‘Who Are You’ seems to be dark and intense as seen from its music video teaser. Surrounded by the strumming of a guitar and haunting instrumentals, a hand seems to be slowly turning Bambam’s head to the side to reveal the person behind him. The scene is intercut with shots of him in a cell, a forest and a huge mirror.

Fans have loved the interactions between Seulgi and Bambam whenever he came on her radio show.
