GOT7 is back with a bang and there is no one to stop them as they continue to break records. While trolls and antis had claimed that they had unofficially disbanded or that their comeback would not do well since they were on hiatus for a year, GOT7 and their fans proved them wrong. The boy group has shared on numerous occasions that they came back with a vengeance because of those who doubted them and their fans and now they have gone on to take over charts like iTunes with their best-selling album yet.

GOT7 had parted ways with their old label JYPE in 2021 and focused on their solo careers for the remainder of the year. However, they reunited and dropped their self-titled album ‘GOT7’ on May 23. The self-composed album and its title track ‘NANANA’ made by leader Jay B has now gone on to break records. It has been reported that ‘GOT7’ did well domestically, as well as internationally as it topped iTunes Album Chart in 95 countries and keeps growing.

‘GOT7’ topped the Korean music chart Genie and crossed 191k sales on the first day itself, giving the boys their highest-first day sales for an album. The music video crossed 6 million YouTube views while the album debuted at #1 on Worldwide Itunes and European iTunes charts. And on May 25, it was announced that the album had 95 #1s on iTunes. Following BTS, GOT7 is now the second K-pop group to have topped iTunes in 90+ countries and has extended its record by reaching #1 in 95 countries.

‘So proud of them’

Fans are celebrating by making tweets like, “So apparently got7 are now the second kpop group in history to achieve #1 on iTunes in 90+ countries. a big slap to everyone who said they won't do well, this comeback is so successful. so proud of them.” Another Ahgase commented, “So you’re telling me got7 reached #1 on iTunes charts in over 90+ countries after being HIATUS for a year?! they’re so hot for this i couldn’t be more proud of them can’t wait to see them achieve more.” One fan flexed, “Talk to them nicely.”
