GOT7 assures ‘team’s eternity’, K-pop fans flex 'they will never disband'

GOT7 just might become the first K-pop group in history to never disband as all members equally own the rights and trademark

With GOT7’s comeback being closer than ever, fans are over the moon. And the K-pop group is going all out from self-producing the album ‘GOT7’ to showing off their duality as they drop hot, as well as cute group photos for the teasers. Ahgases (GOT7’s fandom) are constantly getting reasons to be proud as it was also recently revealed that all the rights and trademarks had been successfully transferred from their old label JYPE to all seven members making GOT7 the first K-pop group in history to achieve this. 

And now they are beating the disbandment allegations and more as they got candid while discussing the future of GOT7. While fans were always confident that the K-pop group had not disbanded when they went their separate ways in 2021, non-fans and the media constantly made theories that GOT7 had disbanded unofficially and that they would never get back together. One YouTuber had joked that if the boy group ever got back together he would cut off his testicles. A savage Bambam had goaded him by tweeting scissor emojis as their reunion and comeback news was announced just a day later.

All GOT7 members confident they will never disband

Well, in an interview with W Korea, all of the GOT7 members assured fans that despite expanding their solo careers they would always be together. Leader Jay B added that since he gained a lot from GOT7 he would never be able to forget his origins. Jinyoung on the other hand was inspired by 2PM who are still together since 2008 despite two of the members leaving their label JYPE too. He was confident that like 2PM, since GOT7 cared for each other, they too could be together.

Jinyoung was also realistic as he knew they would face several obstacles but “it’s the repetition that could be the team’s eternity.” Bambam who is pretty active on social media and was the one who saw trolls making fun of Ahgases blinding trust snapped back once more by asking them not to judge GOT7. And for those who felt that having three foreign members who live in different countries was a disadvantage, Bambam pointed out they could simply reunite whenever they wanted. Mark too added that despite military enlistments and uncertainty of the next group activity “we will be GOT7 until the end.”

Youngjae too reiterated “there will be no such thing as disbandment” and said that he never cared for the rumors since he knew they were not true. Meanwhile, Jackson shared that despite all members being busy they completely emptied 3 months of their schedule for GOT7 because “you must not forget what is dear to you.” Yugyeom on the other hand revealed that the album was for fans to show “we remain the same” and that GOT7 would never change.

‘Feeling giddy’

Fans are touched by the interview as one tweeted, “So first thing in the morning, mark decided to make me cry.” Another Ahgase added, “Yeah he loves got7 the most more than anyone.” One commented, “I know some people see him as jolly person,but BB has always been the vocal one when it comes to his members.Someone who gets emotional when seeing fans support or when he miss got7,and not afraid to speak up when he know something is wrong.And is what admire about him the most.” Another said, “They all said Got7 will never disband and they'll be here till the end.” One fan was excited, “Two years ago we didn't have an mv teaser and today we get to witness got7's most gorgeous mv teaser so far the universe is always on their side feeling giddy actually.”
