'Good Eats: The Return': Release date, plot, host, trailer and everything you need to know about Food Network's culinary show

There is no one who doesn't love shows on culinary arts, and luckily, Alton Brown's 'Good Eats: The Return' is set to grace our screens again after a seven-year hiatus. 

'Good Eats: The Return', is the 15th season of Brown's famed series 'Good Eats' that ran for more than a decade from 1999 to 2012. 'Good Eats' is the third longest-running Food Network series, after '30 Minute Meals' and 'Barefoot Contessa'. Last year, Food Network's sister channel, Cooking Channel premiered with a sequel to Good Eats, titled 'Good Eats: Reloaded' that has also been renewed for season 2.  Here's everything you need to know about the forthcoming Food Network series.

'Good Eats: The Return' will premiere on Food Network on August 25, 2019. 



 

Plot 

According to the series' press release, the show revolves around host "Alton Brown, as he explores the origins of ingredients, decodes culinary customs and presents food and equipment trends as only he can. With science, history, comedy, puppets, cameras inside appliances, get ready for food in its finest and funniest form."  

Host / Creator

Alton Brown 

Alton Brown is a famed television personality, food show presenter, author, actor, cinematographer, and musician. Apart from being the creator of Food Network's Good Eats, Brown is also the host of Feasting on Asphalt and Feasting on Waves, Iron Chef America, and Cutthroat Kitchen.  Brown is also a best-selling author of a number of books on food and cooking.

In a Reddit AMA with fans, he said: “This season of Good Eats is absolutely the best work we've done. Best food, best scripts, best photography. Best editing. It's GE turned up to 12." And to another, he revealed that this time around, “everything is better.” He shared: “This current season took 8 months to research and write (including recipe development) and 50 days to shoot.”

Trailer 

The new trailer to Good Eats: The Return was recently released, and it teases what viewers can expect in the forthcoming reboot season. The trailer features quirky characters, belching puppets and a slew of food facts. And with the trailer by itself being fun, we can't wait to see what the entire season holds for us.
