Golden Globes 2020: Phoebe Waller-Bridge's 'Fleabag' wins Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy

'Fleabag' won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy pipping its competitors 'Barry', 'The Kominsky Method', 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' and 'The Politician'.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the award and the award was accepted by creator and the show's star Phoebe Waller-Bridge. 

Talking after receiving the award. she said: "Huge huge thank you for supporting us so much, we have such an incredible cast, incredible crew. This means a huge amount for all of us.  Thanks to Amazon and BBC for picking us up and give us space for creating this."

"Personally I would like to thank Obama for putting us on his list as some of you may know he's always been on mine," she joked referring to one of the jokes from Season 1. "This means the world to us."

This was the second win for 'Fleabag' this night.  Waller-Bridge plays Fleabag, an angry, confused, sexually voracious young woman living in London. The series is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
