The nominations for the 77th Golden Globe Awards will be announced early in the morning on Monday, December 9.

The announcement will be made at the usual haunt—the Beverly Hilton Hotel—at 5 am Pacific.

The first batch of nominees will be live-streamed on Golden Globe social media pages and on the Golden Globe website beginning at 5.04 am. The live stream will continue with the second batch of nominations and will be accompanied by a live TV segment on NBC's 'Today' show at 5.15 am.

'Toy Story 4' star Tim Allen, 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood' actress Dakota Fanning, and 'This Is Us' star Susan Kelechi Watson will be announcing the nominees. They’ll be joined by HFPA President Lorenzo Soria, ceremony producer Barry Adelman, and Golden Globe ambassadors Dylan and Paris Brosnan.

The Golden Globes acknowledge and honor achievements in American television and film. Top contending films include 'The Irishman', 'Marriage Story', '1917', 'Little Women', 'The Two Popes', 'Ford Vs Ferrari', and even 'Cats'. In television, the frontrunners are 'Succession', 'The Crown', 'Game Of Thrones', 'Fleabag', and 'Barry'.

The Golden Globe Awards ceremony will take place on January 5, and will air from coast to coast at 5 pm Pacific.

Comedian Ricky Gervais will be the host for the evening and is expected to bring his trademark humor and wit to the proceedings.

The ceremony is seen as the official beginning of awards season, which will end with the prestigious Academy Awards in February.

Golden Globes 2019 saw many favourites bag accolades including Richard Madden for Best Actor In A Drama Series in 'Bodyguard', Sandra Oh for 'Killing Eve', Rami Malek for Best Actor In A Drama Motion Picture for 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. 'The Americans' won the Best Drama TV series. 'Roma' won the Best Foreign Language Film Award.

We have to wait till January 5 to find out who walks away with Golden Globes this year.
