LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The world of monster films has taken an unexpected detour with 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire', directed by Adam Wingard, where the legendary character, Godzilla, is now adorned with pink spikes.

This flamboyant addition to the monster's otherwise fearsome persona has caught fans off guard, leading to a wave of obsession over the pink spikes.

The latest trailer for ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ has been released, revealing an epic collaboration between Godzilla and Kong. They join forces to face a daunting new foe, led by a villainous entity with a striking resemblance to Kong.

This thrilling sequel to the 2021 blockbuster ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ made its debut on Sunday, December 3, promising another action-packed adventure for fans of the franchise.

According to the synopsis, 'New Empire' "follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence — and our own."

The trailer sets an intense tone right from the start. As an ominous sound echoes and the music builds, a text appears on the screen, "Witness the rise of a new empire."

A voice then warns, "Kong can't stop this on his own," hinting at the immense challenge that lies ahead. The highlight of the trailer is the dramatic appearance of Godzilla emerging from the water with glowing pink spikes. 

Fans obsessing over Godzilla's colorful spikes

The release of the 'New Empire' trailer has stirred up excitement among fans, especially due to the unexpected appearance of Godzilla's spikes.

One wrote, "Why is Godzilla glowing pink?!"

Another said, "If regular godzilla is the result of nuclear bombs, then pink Godzilla is the result of barbenheimer?"  

"The red/purple spikes are back bayyybeee," mentioned an excited fan, while one more stated, "My boy Pink !!!" 

Some weren't keen on the color of the spikes but showed excitement for the film nevertheless. Someone mentioned, "Absolutely hate the pink.. takes me right out of the imersion immediately. makes no sense at all. . Can’t wait for the movie though."
