Reports of a 'Friends' reunion special at HBO Max are sending fans over the moon with excitement
This is not a drill! The 'Friends' reunion that we've all been waiting for is reportedly about to become a reality. According to Hollywood Reporter, an unscripted reunion special for the hit sitcom is in the works over at HBO Max. Fans of the series have been begging for a reunion for years and as expected, the internet is exploding with excitement over the news. Check out some of these tweets from 'Friends' fans:

While we're still waiting for final confirmation on whether the reunion is happening or not, fans are already busy speculating on what the episode might look like. In all probability, it might end up being just a reunion panel instead of a full-fledged episode but fans have some ideas on how the reunion could fix some "issues" with the way the sitcom ended. One fan who goes by @raindovemodel on Twitter suggested that the reunion should let Joey Tribiani (Matt LeBlanc) finally get with the love of his life, Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston).
"FRIENDS REUNION EPISODE: Good. Maybe #joeytribiani can FINALLY end up with Rachel instead of Ross. Y’all know Joey would’ve loved her and let her chase her dreams in Paris. Instead of being a whiny, clingy, abusively toxic manipulative floof like Ross." Other fans are hopeful that the reunion could lead to a revival of some form. Though the 'Joey' spin-off was a disaster, some fans have suggested that a Chandler and Monica show might be a pretty good idea.

Right now, we don't know if the reunion will actually happen or not and there's no telling what sort of a special it's going to be. But as fans of the show ourselves, we can't wait to see this become a reality. It's been a very long break indeed and now it's about time we got back to Central Perk for one last wrong order of coffee.
