'Free R3hab': Fans make memes as DJ posts and deletes collab teaser with Monsta X

DJ R3HAB spoils 'Burning Up', a collab with Monsta X and then goes MIA which has fans joking that he has been taken prisoner by the K-pop label

When it comes to spoilers, no one can keep a secret better than music companies. But it doesn’t always work out as their artists are more than willing to spoil their upcoming releases to tease fans. And the latest happens to be none other than DJ R3HAB who spoiled his collaboration with Monsta X for their upcoming album ‘Shape of Love’. Fans are excited as one of the tracks of the album is ‘Burning Up’, made by member Hyungwon himself and DJ R3HAB. 

With only a day left for the release on April 26, on April 24, R3HAB teased fans as he posted a seven-second clip of ‘Burning Up’. The Dutch-Moroccan DJ added that he would also drop another teaser if fans wanted. Unfortunately, an hour later, he ended up deleting the tweet just as it was gaining attention. Fans think that Monsta X’s label, Starship Entertainment made R3HAB delete the tweet.

R3HAB is a DJ and producer who has worked in the K-pop scene for a long time with the likes of EXO and Chungha. In fact, his latest collaborations were with TWICE and Sam Kim. And now with R3HAB hyping his collab with Monsta X, fans are loving the interaction. One Monbebe tweeted, “THIS MAN FIGHTS FOR FREEDOM AND HE NEEDS YOUR HELP! NO MORE STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT! R3HAB MARKETING KING.” Another made a reaction meme, “The SSE employees waking R3hab to delete those tweets #FREER3HAB.”

R3HAB oppa you shall be avenged you are a saviour.” One commented, “SSE when MX actually get an effective promotion:.” With Starship getting a new CEO, one fan joked, “The new SSE CEO's first crisis.” Another added, “R3HAB doing a great sacrifice to promote the collab cause SSE ain't doing shit. I know he at home doing this.”
