'Filthy Rich': Meet Kim Cattrall, Aubrey Dollar, Corey Cott and rest of the cast of Fox's family drama
'Filthy Rich' is the Fox network's new drama based on a New Zealand series of the same name that follows the consequences and messiness of hierarchy, family fortune and greed. After the death of a family patriarch, the people that inherit from his will have to wade through shady water to keep the family fortune in the family for they find out that the patriarch's three illegitimate children are also part of his will. Here is the cast bringing the 'Dynasty' vibes back to life in this new installment.
Kim Cattrall as Margaret Monreaux
No one can ever forget Cattrall's iconic role as Samantha Jones from the 'Sex and the City' series and movies, but the actress has made quite a mark on the entertainment industry. Her other roles include Lt Valeris in 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country' (1991), Jane O'Leary in 'The Tiger's Tail' (20016), Amelia Bly in 'The Ghost' (2010), Colleen Powell in 'Tell Me a Story' (2018-2019) and Agrippina in 'Horrible Histories: The Movie' (2019). Besides her umpteen awards for her 'Sex and the City', in 2008 Cattrall won an NBC Universal Award of Distinction at the Banff Television Festival, in 2017 she won a Canadian Screen Award for For Outstanding Artistic Contribution to Film & Television, and in 1999 she had won the Lucy Way at the Women in Film Lucy Awards.
Benjamin Levy Aguilar as Antonio Rivera
Aguilar's works include his roles as Levy in 'Out the Box' (2014), Ben Bleu in 'Aloha Haha' (2015), Juan Ramirez in 'My Life for Yours' (2017) and Michael in 'Rukky' (2018). Most recently, he was part of 'Cultural Clash' (2019), 'Chicago PD' (2019) and 'Before the Dawn' (2019). The actor has a new release titled 'Black Spot' that has been announced. In 2019, Aguilar won an Honorable Mention at the Los Angeles Film Awards for Best Actor for 'Spirit' (2019) where he played the role of Pablo Perez, and this year, he won the May Award at the Feel The Reel International Film Festival for Best Actor, for the same production.
Corey Cott as Eric Monreaux
Cott is known for his roles as Townsend Martin in 'Z: The Beginning of Everything' (2017), Tom C Duncan in 'The Good Fight' (2017-2018) and Ellis Griffin in 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' (2016). He is also the executive producer for 'The Mascot' which is currently in pre-production. His other works include, 'What You Get' (2012), 'Madam Secretary' (2014), 'Public Morals' (2015), 'My Mother and Other Strangers' (2016) and 'Mutt' (2017).
Aubrey Dollar as Rose Monreaux
Dollar is known for her roles as Molly Mahoney in 'One Small Hitch' (2013), Camp Mangnolia Girl in 'Heavyweights' (1995), Marina Cooper in 'Guiding Light' (2002-2003) and Joanna Jacobs in 'Weeds' (2012). Her recent works include 'Battle Creek' (2015), 'Daniel Zaitchik: Jane Eyre' (2017), 'Again' (2017) and 'Main Justice' which is listed as completed. In 2014, Dollar won a Distinctive Achievement Award at the Wild Rose Independent Film Festival for Actress - Feature Film for 'One Small Hitch' along with a NIFF and Maverick Movie Award in 2014, and LAIFF July Award in 2015 for the same production.
Steve Harris as Franklin Lee
Harris is known for his roles as Eugene Young in 'The Practice' (1997-2004), Private McCoy in 'The Rock' (1996), Charles in 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman' (2005) and Scott Percival in 'Quarantine' (2008). His most recent roles include 'The Crossin' (2018), 'The First Purge' (2018), 'The Twilight Zone' (2019), 'Tales' (2019) and 'Chicago PD' (2020). In 2004, Harris won an Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for 'The Practice' and back in 1999, he won a Q Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Quality Drama Series for the same production.
Other members of the cast include Melia Kreiling as Ginger Sweet, Olivia Macklin as Becky Monreaux, Gerald McRaney as Eugene Monreaux, Mark L Young as Jason Conley, Aqueela Zoll as Rachel, Cranston Johnson as Luke Taylor, Kenny Alfonso as Don Bouchard, Gia Carides as Veronica and many more.
The official synopsis of the show states, "'Filthy Rich' is a southern Gothic family soap in which wealth, power and religion collide – with outrageously soapy results. When the patriarch of a mega-rich Southern family, famed for creating a wildly successful Christian television network, dies in a plane crash, his wife and family are stunned to learn that he fathered three illegitimate children, all of whom are written into his will, threatening their family name and fortune. With monumental twists and turns, 'Filthy Rich' presents a world in which everyone has an ulterior motive – and no one is going down without a fight."
