'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 6 Episode 1 Preview: Will Virginia's bounty hunter succeed in beheading Morgan?
After what seems like a long wait, 'Fear The Walking Dead' is returning with Season 6 on October 10 at 9 pm on AMC. The last we saw, Morgan (Lenny James) had been shot by Virginia and left for dead. The Walkers were swarming in on him. In the teasers and trailers, we saw that Morgan was sporting bloodshot eyes, which led to many thinking that he had taken on a supernatural form.
Yet, Virginia (Colbie Minfie) isn't done yet, and in a few sneak-peeks, we see that Virginia has sent the deadly bounty hunter Emile after Morgan to kill him. She wants his head in a box and is determined to have it at all costs. Fans are curious to know what's going to become of Morgan and whether he can make it past this season at all.
Will Morgan become a strange version of a Walker? That was the theory doing the rounds for the longest time. And what will become of his story with Grace which had just begun?
Going by what the showrunners have explained of the upcoming season, 'Fear the Walking Dead' goes down a different trajectory and explores the fate of the unlikely family once united by a mission to help those in need. After being torn apart by Virginia (Colby Minifie) and her Pioneers, the group has now been dispersed across her far-reaching settlements.
Morgan's last message at the end of Season 5 implored the group to "live" and this season we'll see what that means to each of them. While some will find the stability and opportunity within Virginia's communities to be intriguing, others will sink into darknesswhile others will fight back against what has been forced upon them. Life behind Virginia''s walls will test each and every one of them in different ways, forcing them to define who they are in this new world.
The synopsis for the first episode reads, "Mortally wounded, Morgan must decide whether to help a desperate stranger while a mysterious bounty hunter tries to finish what Ginny couldn't. . Directed by Michael E. Satrazemis, and written by Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg."
'Fear The Walking Dead' airs on AMC on Sundays at 9 pm.
