'FBI Most Wanted' Season 2: Release date, plot, cast, creator and all you need to know about CBS crime drama
Fans of the crime thriller have been awaiting the return of the CBS television series with ‘FBI: Most Wanted Season 2’. The spinoff from Emmy Award winner Dick Wolf's drama ‘FBI’ pivots around a Fugitive Task Force. The show features the squad relentlessly engaged in tracking and capturing notorious criminals on its bureau's most wanted list. The show has a seasoned agent Jess LaCroix who leads a highly adept and adroit team who is ready to smash transgressors of the law. This time in its Season 2, it will be worth a watch to see whom the top investigative agency FBI is going track this time. Before we head to watch, here is all we need to know about the series.
Release Date
The series is set to premiere November 17 at 10/9c on CBS.
Plot
The official synopsis of the series is not yet out. But showrunner David Hudgins says the upcoming season will have an emphasis on each character of the FBI team. "Season 2 has a bigger emphasis on character. Widowed dad Jess sparks with a love interest, complicating his relationship with his family, and viewers meet Jess' divorced father Byron, a man who gave Jess a very difficult childhood,” David teases. “We'll get better acquainted with others too, like special agents Kenny Crosby and Sheryll Barnes (Kellan Lutz and Roxy Sternberg), through the lens of ripped-from-the-headlines issues, such as the coronavirus and police protests,” said David. "We ground our team in the real world."
Cast
The show features Julian McMahon as Jess LaCroix who is an FBI Supervisory Special Agent. Others in the cast include Kellan Lutz as Kenny Crosby, Roxy Sternberg as Sheryll Barnes, Keisha Castle-Hughes as Hana Gibson, Nathaniel Arcand as Clinton Skye and YaYa Gosselin as Tali LaCroix.
Julian McMahon as Jess LaCroix
Julian McMahon is an Australian actor who has achieved international fame with both television and film productions. Most recently, he was seen in the television series ‘Runaways’ and in the thriller film ‘Monster Party’. The star earlier featured in ensemble feature ‘Swinging Safari’ and television series ‘Nip/Tuck’. The actor has won many awards and nominations for his memorable performances. This includes nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series in Drama in 2005, Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actor in 2007, and Excellence in Entertainment Award for his contribution to the entertainment industry to name some.
Kellan Lutz as Kenny Crosby
Kellan Lutz has an impressive and notable body of work. Most remembered for his role of vampire Emmett Cullen in the blockbuster film ‘Twilight’ the actor has went on to appear in ‘What Men Want’, ‘Guardians of The Tomb’ and ‘Speed Kills’. Some of his other film credits include ‘The Osiris Child’, ‘The Expendables 3’, ‘Experimenter’, and ‘The Legend of Hercules’ to name some.
Roxy Sternberg as Sheryll Barnes
Roxy Sternberg featured in prominent docu-drama ‘Mars’. The actress has also appeared in season two of the drama series ‘Absentia’ and British comedy show ‘Famalam’. Sternberg was a series regular on drama series ‘Emerald City’ and also appeared in BAFTA-winning comedy ‘Chewing Gum’ and drama ‘Into The Badlands’.
YaYa Gosselin as Tali LaCroix
As per the latest reports rising young actress YaYa Gosselin, who occurred in season 1 of ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ has been promoted to feature in its sequel also.
She will be also appearing in the film ‘We Can Be Heroes’ for Netflix. Her notable credits boast of ‘13 Reasons Why’, ‘The Purge’, ‘Dr. Bird’s Advice for Sad Poets’, and feature film ‘Peppermint’ with Jennifer Garner.
Creator: David Hudgins
Season two of the series will have David Hudgins as executive producer/showrunner. Hudgins will succeed ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ creator René Balcer, who was Season 1 showrunner.Hudgins earlier worked on ‘Parenthood’ in addition to developing a number of projects. He has previously worked on Uni TV’s sports show ‘Friday Night Lights’ where he served as co-showrunner . The show bagged many Emmy nominations that included the best drama series.Most recently, Hudgins created and executive produced the NBC drama series ‘Game Of Silence’. The show is based on a Turkish format. He also served as showrunner on Hulu’s drama show ‘Shut Eye’.
