LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jim Hopper, portrayed by American actor David Harbour, has been a fan-favorite character since 'Stranger Things' first premiered in 2016. 

'Stranger Things' Season 5 will be released on Netflix, as Matt and Ross Duffer prepare to conclude the Upside Down saga in Hawkins.

Harbour's portrayal of Hopper, a carefree Chief of Police in Indiana, has been a highlight of many past episodes of the science fiction horror series, which follows a group of young friends who encounter many supernatural forces and events in the 1980s.

Now, Netflix has confirmed Harbour is reprising his role and returning alongside Eleven and her friends for the final season of 'Stranger Things' by sharing a new set image.



 

Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Hopper and have taken to social media to express their enthusiasm.

Many fans have shared their excitement about seeing David Harbour back in action, speculating about his role in the upcoming season and how his story will unfold.

When will 'Stranger Things' Season 5 premiere?

The filming of the series was delayed for many months due to WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes before finally getting the green light in January of 2024.

As the filming for the fifth and final season of 'Stranger Things' is currently underway, the cast and crew are offering tempting hints without revealing too much.

Fans are eagerly awaiting news about when they can expect to see the next chapter of the popular series.

As of this writing, Netflix has not announced a release date for 'Stranger Things' Season 5.

As far as the final chapter's storyline is concerned, the Duffer Brothers have hinted that they will look to answer the last remaining questions surrounding the mythology and lore of the Upside Down.

Further, 'The Terminator' star Linda Hamilton's entry into the series could add a new turn to explore for 'Stranger Things' fans.
