LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The moment you all have been waiting for is finally here. Disney alum, Vannesa Hudgens returns as one of her most beloved characters (of course after 'High School Musical's Gabriella), Kelly of the 'Bad Boys' franchise. Speaking of 'Bad Boys,' Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their starring roles and were joined by Paola Nunez, Vanessa Hudgens, Jacob Scipio, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Kate del Castillo, Nicky Jam, and Joe Pantoliano for 2020's 'Bad Boys for Life'. The film banked over 426.5 million dollars worldwide, becoming the third highest-grossing January release of all time. After the success of 'Bad Boys for Life,' it was not surprising when Will Smith and Martin Lawrence announced they would be returning for a fourth film.

However, the buddy cop action comedy film star, Smith won an oscar for 'King Richard' last year. Fans witnessed Smith sweep the Best Actor (Leading role) category at the 94th Academy awards, unfortunately, his award was eclipsed by the assault (Smith slapping Chris Rock). Nevertheless, Smith is looking to reestablish his commercial appeal and is poised to shoot Sony’s 'Bad Boys 4,' and Netflix’s 'Fast and Loose' back to back.

Vanessa Hudgens returns for 'Bad Boys 4'

Bad Boys 4 is hauling out all the stops by inviting fan-favorite characters back to the franchise for another action-packed thrill ride. According to Deadline, Vanessa Hudgens will reprise her role as Kelly in the sequel starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Smith and Martin confirmed 'Bad Boys 4' is happening in January. Furthermore, 'Bad Boys 4' is in pre-production at Sony Pictures, with 'Bad Boys for Life' directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah returning to shoot the sequel. Plot details remain a mystery. 

'I’m glad she’s back'

After the news surfaced online fans went berserk. A fan said, "You’re late, but I’m glad she’s back in the fourth installment of the Bad Boys franchise," while another said, "i'll watch it for her". A fan shared, "YES!!!!! I was hoping that she would," while another commented, "She was honestly great in the third one." Lastly, a fan tweeted, "Yes. I can rest easy. Truly the most important cinematic developmemt of the last decade."

Smith will not only star in the film but will also produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Belgrad, and Chad Oman. Lawrence will also be pulling double duty as both star and executive producer. Other executive producers on 'Bad Boys 4' will be James Lassiter, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman, and Jon Mone.
