LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans are going crazy after Will Smith and Martin Lawrence broke the news that the famous duo will once again come together to add another gem to their 'Bad Boys' series. Both the franchise star updated fans on their social media platforms on Tuesday, January 31, with a clip and wrote, "IT'S ABOUT THAT TIME!" The video starts with the ‘Emancipation’ star recording himself as he drives to Lawrence’s home. He tells viewers what the video is about by dropping a ‘hint,’ and the next thing we hear is the music ‘Shake Ya Tailfeather’ music playing in the background.

"I wish I was you not knowing what I'm about to show me," says Smith as he holds the camera. Once he reaches his co-star’s home, Lawrence greets him with a smile before asking that obvious question, "It's about that time?" The video then shows both stars in exuberant moods as they embrace each other, according to People. Smith puts the camera back on himself and his partner before joyfully exclaiming, "It's about that time!" The 54-year-old continues, "It's official, y'all. Bad boys for life, baby!"

‘Emancipation’ is an Oscar contender for Will Smith and Antoine Fuqua

Will the success of 'Bad Boys' franchise continue?

This didn’t come as a surprise for many since Lawrence in July, last year told Ebony magazine that he’s ‘got one more’ installment in the talks, at least,’ in the celebrated action-comedy series. The first movie hit the theatres in 1995, and went on to release two sequels starring, the ‘Gemini Man’ actor. The franchise has garnered over $840 million at global box offices, and the latest one will likely break a few more records.

In that interview with Ebony, Lawrence put all the rumors to rest that the 4th edition of Bad Boys has been canceled, following the infamous incident when Smith slapped host Chris Rock during an Oscar presentation in March 2022. Talking about their first flick back in 1995, Lawrence reflected, "For us to come together and prove that we can deliver, and we can pull people into the box office — that two Black stars, two sitcom stars, could make money at the box office [was huge]."

Will Smith’s transformation impressed Charmaine Bingwa

Will Smith's last flick ‘Emancipation,’ released last year where he played a black slave alongside Charmaine Bingwa. Impressed by her co-star, the actress praised his transformation for the character, "When I first saw Will, he was so thin. He got so skinny for this role to be able to play him, and I did not recognize him. I was like, 'Where's Will Smith? This is wild.' I was so inspired by his transformation, and he's a great leader. I think we all just followed suit and committed as hard as he did."
