LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+ has delivered some hard-hitting shows recently while keeping us entertained with some wholesome content. The streamer's upcoming series 'Extrapolations' explores the key topics of climate change and global warming. 

The cast is led by the legendary Meryl Streep, along with Kit Harington and many other Hollywood big names. 'Extrapolations' is an anthology series, which will reportedly have a total of eight intertwined episodes. The series will chronicle the harsh effects of climate change on humans through different perspectives from the near-distant future. It will also showcase the methods humans will have to resort to in order to deal with the effects of the catastrophe.

For Meryl Streep, 'Extrapolations' will not be vastly different from her latest hit, Adam McKay's 'Don't Look Up'. The apocalyptic black comedy was celebrated as a biting satire that tackled humanity's lackadaisical response to climate change. 

The show's exemplary cast is not just limited to Meryl Streep and those revealed in the first-look images. The incredible star cast of 'Extrapolations' includes Tobey Maguire, Diane Lane, Marion Cotillard, Forest Whitaker, Keri Russell, Eiza González, Michael Gandolfini, David Schwimmer, Gemma Chan, Edward Norton, and Indira Varma. 

'Extrapolations' is created by Scott Z Burns', who has also written the script. He is known as the producer of 'An Inconvenient Truth' and writer of 'Contagion' and 'Side Effects'. Burns is known for his previous work that often deals with similar issues. 

The new series will be Apple TV+'s latest addition to its already impressive binge catalog. 'Extrapolations' might be a must-watch for all environmentalists and lovers of good shows. The series comes heavy on expectations, with a star cast that boasts countless hits and classics. 

'Extrapolations' debuts its first three episodes on March 17, followed by weekly airings every Friday on Apple TV+.
