'Can't wait for the season': Fans thrilled as Meryl Streep joins cast of 'Only Murders in the Building'

Meryl Streep will star alongside Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short in the third season of the Hulu series

SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: Fans can't keep calm as iconic Meryl Streep joins the cast of 'Only Murders in the Building' Season 3. The 73-year-old actress who is popular for her performances in 'Sophie’s Choice,' 'Out of Africa,' 'Julie & Julia,' 'The Devil Wears Prada,' and 'Mamma Mia!' will join a stellar cast of the popular show that has Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short in key roles.

Though it is confirmed that Streep will be featured in the series, there is no information regarding her character. Co-creator and star Steve Martin tweeted a pic of the actress with co-stars from the set and captioned it as, "The filming of Season 3 of “Only Murders in the Building” has begun! A cast to dream of."

Meanwhile, the 'Only Murders in the Buiding' cast has always received great feedback from its viewers and even received an IMDb rating of 7.9/10. According to Screen Rant, this show solely focuses on a swing from dark comedy to pure farce. The series also aims to focus on a rising obsession with true crime podcasts.

Another fan asked, "okay, when is this season dropping???????????? Come on!! @hulu." A tweet read, " Only Legends in the Building. That’s what the title should be from now on @OnlyMurdersHulu."
