'Ex on the Beach’: Mechie shocks everybody by picking Ariana in the final crush ceremony

'Ex on the Beach' fans were pleasantly surprised when Mechie picked Ariana to leave the show with.

When Cameron Armstrong’s ex, Ariana Nova washed up on the beach we couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. She was stuck in an unhealthy and toxic relationship with her ex, Cameron, who she shared her house with. Thankfully after things between Cameron and her end, she found a connection with Mechie. Things were going very smoothly between the two, until Mechie’s ex, Danielle showed up.

For the past few episodes, we have been seeing Mechie torn between his ex, Danielle and his potential next, Ariana. We saw him juggling between both the ladies indecisively, which caused quite some friction amongst the trio. Ariana even posted a hurtful tweet about Mechie on her Twitter, leading us all to believe that Mechie might be leaning more towards Danielle rather than Ariana.

We couldn’t be happier when Mechie squashed all our notions about him and picked Ariana during the final crush ceremony and chose to leave the show with her. Despite having a strong history with Danielle, her answers in the lie-detector test didn’t sit well with the rapper. Danielle’s test revealed that she wasn’t in love with Mechie, this response changed everything. Before handing out the “crush necklace” to Ariana, he says that she is his perfect wife material and expressed his hope of her kicking Cameron out of her house.

This beautiful exchange between Ariana and Mechie had fans’ hearts melting. A fan tweeted, “Mechie and Ariana leaving together is SO MUCH YES!!!#ExOnTheBeach”. Ariana has been through so much that everybody feels that it is her time to shine.
