Erin Napier's daughter meets 'another Baker' in HGTV's 'Home Town' Season 6 after grieving her old dog's death
HGTV's renovation series 'Home Town' is coming back with new episodes for Season 6. The show's lead Erin Napier recently gave us a sneak peek of what's about to be showcased on Sunday's night premiere episode. Erin uploads a picture of her daughter Helen hugging the Napier family's new member, Baker.
The Napier family's canine companion died last summer after happily living with the family for 12 years. In order to help Helen cope with the grief, Erin and Ben introduced another dog to the family, named after the previous one. Erin uploads a picture of her daughter Helen hugging the new Baker, captioning, "She grieved losing Baker last summer for months, and only another Baker would do."

Helen in the Instagram post is seen captured from behind, wearing a pink sweater with a grey and pink colored head cap. Helen hugs the new furry little puppy in the post. Even though Ben and Erin introduced the new Baker early this year, the experience and emotion that came after meeting the new puppy will be shown for the first time in 'Home Town' Season 6's new episodes. Erin captions the post, "If you watch the #HGTVHomeTown premiere Sunday night, you’ll see these two meet for the first time when he was a tiny little fluff ball." HGTV's reality star further claimed in her post about how her daughter grieved after the loss of Baker, and now the new Baker in the family might fill the gap created by the old one. Erin advises other mothers in her post, "Get your kids a great pyrenees and you’ll never have to worry they’re safe."
Early this year, Erin uploaded a video of Helen crying while hiding her face inside a rug. Erin claimed in the Instagram post that introducing a new Baker was the decision that came after seeing Helen struggle to move on after their old Baker passed away. She captions the video, "Our dog Baker passed last July, and anytime Helen gets tired and emotional, oh she crushes us! Problem (a crying emoji) —> Solution. Meet the new Baker!" In the video, we see Helen saying, "Everything was good with Baker." She further cried while saying, "ow, I don't have Baker. Now I'm lonely." "I just want an animal friend," the little girl said in the video.
Erin and Ben welcomed their younger daughter Mae last year in May. And, soon after that, they lost one of the closest family members, Baker. After Baker's death, Erin uploaded a photo of her older daughter hugging the big fluffy canine companion. She captioned the image, "all dogs go to heaven we (and especially she) will miss baker. thankful for the 12 years he lived."
Ben and Erin in 'Home Town' Season 6's new episodes will once again be seen revamping the outdated homes into new ones while navigating their busy family life side by side. The new episode is scheduled to drop on December 4 at 8 pm ET on HGTV. Moreover, additional 20 episodes have been confirmed for 'Home Town' to air in 2023.
