Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson set to shine in Apple TV+s thriller series 'Down Cemetery Road'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+ announced a new thriller series, 'Down Cemetery Road', starring and executive produced by Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Emmy Award winner Emma Thompson on Tuesday, April 16.
Thompson plays struggling Oxford private eye Zoë Boehm, alongside Golden Globe and two-time Olivier Award winner Ruth Wilson as Sarah Tucker, who becomes obsessed with the whereabouts of a child she believes to have gone missing.
'Funny Woman' star Morwenna Banks serves as the lead writer and executive producer. The series is also executive produced by Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and Tom Nash at 60Forty Films, along with executive producers Banks, Thompson, and 'Down Cemetery Road' author Mick Herron.
'Run' star Natalie Bailey is set to direct this thriller series.
“Down Cemetery Road has all the hallmarks of Mick Herron’s funny and acerbic writing, and I’m delighted we will be bringing it to life for Apple TV+ with such a stellar cast. Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson will make it an unmissable companion piece for 'Slow Horses' on our service,” said Jay Hunt, Apple TV+'s creative director in a press release.
