'Emma Frost or Lady Death?' Fans speculate Emma Corrin's role in 'Deadpool 3' as they jump on MCU train

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Crown' actress Emma Corrin has recently joined Marvel's project 'Deadpool 3' which stars Ryan Reynolds and fans' beloved 'Wolverine' actor Hugh Jackman. 'Stranger Things' and 'Night at the Museum's director Shawn Levy is directing 'Deadpool 3', written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige is a producer on 'Deadpool 3', and it marks the first 'Deadpool' movie with Marvel Studios working alongside Reynolds and his team. The first two 'Deadpool' films were produced under the Fox banner, but Disney now owns the series as part of its massive buyout of many of Fox's entertainment properties. However, Corrin is no stranger to the superhero world as well. They were featured in a few episodes of DC’s 'Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler'. Corrin was recently seen in 'Lady Chatterley’s Lover' and the Harry Styles-led drama 'My Policeman'.

What is Corrin's role in 'Deadpool 3'?

Corrin’s talent is undisputable, and we’re already excited to see what they will bring to the 'X-Men' franchise, significantly after their performance in the highly anticipated Netflix series, 'The Crown'  as young Princess Diana of Wales which led them to rise to prominence. Corrin might be starring as a villain in the MCU project and it has made all the Marvel fans spiral, as per Deadline. 

 'Wonder if she’s be playing DEATH' 

After the news surfaced online, fans could barely keep calm while some were guessing what role they might have been cast as, others were just happy with Corrin's casting. A fan suggested, "Emma Corrin for Emma Frost would be a serve in Deadpool 3!" A fan guessed, "I wonder if she’s be playing DEATH," while another adds, "I seriously doubt they're gonna be playing danger. I feel like Emma Frost or Lady Death would be much more appropriate." A fan shared, "This movie is gonna be peak," while another commented, "So they’re playing the villain, interesting." Lastly, a fan tweeted, "We making progress guys."

We’ll have to wait a little more to find out, but the casting information is certainly going to hit us sooner rather than later since the movie goes into principal photography soon. This will be the first 'Deadpool' movie to premiere under the Marvel Studios umbrella after 20th Century Studios was bought by Disney in 2019. Regardless, 'Deadpool 3' is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 8, 2024.
