'Emergence' Episode 3 will answer questions about Piper's identity, while Jo and Benny investigate multi-billionaire Richard Kindred
'Emergence' established right away that Piper (Alexa Swinton) is a special little girl with superhuman powers, but we know very little beyond that. But, soon we will get to know a lot more, when Episode 3 of the ABC show premieres on Tuesday, October 8.
One of the biggest questions that the show will address in the episode is who is Piper. And we will see if any of the fans' guesses have been correct. From a girl who has been experimented on to an alien disguised as human - of the many theories doing the rounds one of them is bound to be proven true come Tuesday night.
Jo (Allison Tolman) has been extremely kind, caring and loving towards Piper, following her maternal instincts and even bending the law a little to protect her. However, it remains to be seen how she will react when she finds out what or who exactly Piper is. Thankfully, she has established a relationship with the Evans/Sawyer family and it would be safe to say that whatever the truth is, they will continue to be there for her.
We know that the next episode will see Piper getting affected by a mysterious illness that no one is able to comprehend, and it is likely that Jo finds out the truth about her identity while searching for a cure for her. From what is being teased about the episode, titled '2 MG CU BID', whatever is going on with Piper is less magical and more scientific, especially since one of the new characters we are going to meet is Richard Kindred (Terry O'Quinn), a suave and ruthless multi-billionaire and head of Augur Industries, "a tech firm with a mysterious and very secret agenda."
From the looks of it, Jo and Benny (Owain Yeoman) are going to investigate Richard and find out more about his secret operations, and our best bet is that he has something to do with Piper, and will be able to answer questions regarding her health.
Season 1 Episode 3 of 'Emergence' airs Tuesday night at 10/9c on ABC.
