The much-awaited trailer of the Arrowverse crossover has been released and it features a very unexpected couple.

Every year the Arrowverse fandom looks forward to the crossover of the four shows, 'Arrow', 'The Flash', 'Supergirl' and 'Legends of Tomorrow'. However, this year, 'Legends of Tomorrow' will not be a part of this highly-anticipated crossover. This crossover will also be introducing Gotham city and Ruby Rose as Batwoman to Arrowverse for the first time

The trailer released by the CW for the Elseworlds shows the fans the familiar West-Allen apartment, but with a twist. Instead of seeing Grant Gustin as the Flash, we see Stephen Amell aka Green Arrow. However, Iris West, Barry's (Grant Gustin) wife, doesn't seem different. She kisses him and calls him Barry, revealing there is more to what meets the eye.

After seeing the official poster released by the CW, we knew that Amell will be seen wearing Flash's suit and Gustin will adorn the Green Arrow hood, but now we know it's not just the character's alter-egos switching places. Even though Iris has no doubt in her mind that it is her husband Barry whom she kisses, but Oliver's expression seems like he is also confused with the situation like the viewers.

If Barry too takes Oliver's place in Star City, it will be hilarious. It will be fun for the fans to see their favorite stars taking each other's places not only as superheroes bu their human alter-egos.

The Arrowverse crossover begins on The CW on December 9 with The Flash, followed on December 10 with Arrow and finally ending on December 11 with Supergirl.
