Elris rebrands as ALICE, becomes 1st girl group of acting agency IOK Company
The acting and entertainment agency IOK Company first turned heads when they announced that their youngest executive director would be none other than K-pop idol B.I aka Kim Hanbin who had previously been the leader of iKON. They also went on to sign GFriend’s leader Sowon aka Kim Sojung as an actress. They seem to be branching out into K-pop as they have also gone on to sign several soloists and now have recruited their first girl group ALICE.
ALICE, formerly known as Elris, is a seven-member girl group. They debuted in 2017 but flew under the radar. With 100s of K-pop groups debuting every year, only a few make a mark. While they are all talented artists, thanks to the cut-throat competition, a group needs money, luck, timing, and an efficient label to make it big. So with IOK Company roping in ALICE, home to former GFriend and iKON members, as well as popular K-drama actors, fans are excited about the girl group’s future.

ALICE to come back in May
Back in December 2021, it was announced that Elris had left their old label and had signed with IOK Company. On April 11, they rebranded themselves and changed their group name to ALICE. It looks like fans are going to get a new and reformed ALICE as even the members have changed their stage names and are excited to show a new side to them. On April 13, IOK announced that member Hyeseong had changed her stage name and real name to Yeonjae. As for Bella, she had changed her stage name to DoA.
The girls shared that they were excited to promote under their new stage names and wanted to show their fans all of the various charms of the new ALICE. The girl group had been on a long hiatus of more than two years after their last comeback with ‘Jackpot’ in February 2020. However, fans can now share a sigh of relief as the girl group is now preparing for a comeback in May.
