The NBC-backed 'Ellen's Game of Games' premiered on Tuesday, October 6, with host Ellen DeGeneres introducing a new set of participants and fun games, especially the Name Dropper, which was a thoroughly entertaining round. In this game, each of the contestants would have to lie down in a pod-like structure, attached to a rollercoaster. With every wrong answer, the pods are cranked higher up and once a pod has reached the top, they are let go.

It's like watching people ride a rollercoaster, albeit while answering twisted and fun questions thrown at them by Ellen. The contestants had to guess the name of the celebrity from the clues Ellen read out to them. Shelby moved to the next round by winning it fair square while the rest were sent packing. Meanwhile, fans seem to be loving the Name Dropper round. Some are even of the opinion that the set has been converted into an amusement park.

"#EllenDeGeneres #gameofgames Ellen, I see the next amusement park in your future. Girl, "Universal studios" don't have nothing on "#NameDropper"!!!! So fun!!," a fan commented, while another shared: "I love how #NameDropper is taking #GameofGames to new heights!"

"Wow! #NameDropper is the kind of game that is so amazing it simply takes your breath away! #GameofGames," a viewer shared. Another posted: "Holy WOW This #NameDropper #GameofGames is crazy WILD!"

The show comes after a huge work-related controversy that Ellen has had to court in the recent times after some of her unidentified former colleagues claimed that they were "discriminated" and "mistreated" by the popular television show host. However, Ellen made a point to apologize when the new season of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' premiered on September 21.

"As you may have heard this summer, there were allegations of a toxic work environment at our show,” she said and added that post-investigation, she learned of things that happened at her workplace that should not have happened and how she takes all of what transpired very seriously. "And I want to say, I am so sorry to the people who were affected. I know that I’m in a position of privilege and power. And I realized that with that comes responsibility, and I take responsibility for what happens at my show.”
