LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Elite' Season 8 inches closer to solving Joel's murder mystery in Episode 7. The cops initially suspected Ivan Cruz Carvalho (André Lamoglia) and Dalmar (Iván Mendes) as they were found near Joel's dead body, soaked in blood.

While it was clearly established that they were innocent, suspicion drew towards Eric de Velasco Viveros (Gleb Abrosimov), Chloe (Mirela Balić) and Carmen Silva (Maribel Verdú) , who had clear motive to kill Joel (Fernando Líndez).

Another suspects are elite sibling duo- Hector (Nuno Gallego) and Emilia Krawietz (Ane Rot), who were the first ones to find Joel dead at the alumni centre and moved his body.

Hector and Emilia turn their backs against each other in Episode 7 of 'Elite' Season 8. Hector believes that Emilia killed Joel out of jealousy and reports her to the cops.

When cops interrogate Emilia, she states that she is only an accomplice, who helped Hector after he allegedly killed him in his obsession for Joel.

The cops eventually arrest the siblings while it remains unsure to the audience of who was actually telling the truth.

Why Hector Krawietz may not be Joel's actual killer in 'Elite' Season 8

Despite Dalmar's confession to Joel's murder, cops arrest Hector for killing Joel and Emilia for being an accomplice. But it seems that Hector may not be the actual killer.

There's one more episode before the season concludes and it would be silly to unveil the mystery in Episode 7.

If you're a fan of crime thrillers, you know that the real killers are often hiding in plain sight, the ones we least suspect. The primary suspects, who seem capable of murder, are usually not the culprits.

'Elite' Season 8 may be following the same formula. Ivan and Sara (Carmen Arrufat) have Chloe's phone that contains the recording of the night of the murder.

Chloe had placed her phone to record Joel in an intimate act and later blackmail him. Unbeknownst to her, it also captured the moment when Joel was killed.

It is now clear that Eric and Chloe are innocent while the killer is someone they didn't anticipate.

Let's brace up for the mystery to finally reach a conclusion in the last episode of 'Elite' Season 8, now airing on Netflix.
