MADRID, SPAIN: It is finally time to bid farewell to the Spanish whodunit series 'Elite'. From mocking the scholarship students to murdering their enemies, the students of Las Encinas could go to any length to serve their interests. Just like every season, once again there is a murder, and to solve the mystery, we need to go back in time to understand the mess that our victims got themselves into.

Two new characters are introduced in Season 8, bringing fresh intrigue and drama. They introduce the final-year students to an exclusive club known as the Alumni. This club selects its members through rigorous challenges, ensuring only the most cunning and capable students gain entry.

As expected, the backstabbing and manipulation soon begin, with students going to great lengths to secure their spot in the prestigious club. Season 8 keeps the audience hooked with its trademark blend of mystery and high-stakes drama, delivering a fitting conclusion to the series. So, without any further ado, let’s get into the ending of 'Elite' Season 8.

In 'Elite' Season 8 Episode 6, Joel (Fernando Líndez), the regular guy turned Las Encinas student, becomes the murder victim. Joel is torn between his feelings for Iván (André Lamoglia) and Héctor (Nuno Gallego), the Alumni President, knowing Héctor could secure his future.

After Iván's distant behavior, Joel submits to Héctor’s influence and is introduced to wealthy Alumni who indulge in secretive sex parties. To avoid depending on Iván for tuition, Joel reluctantly becomes a sex worker.

Crooked police officer Luis (Alejandro Albarracín) discovers the Alumni’s activities and blackmails Isadora (Valentina Zenere), who is emotionally and financially strained after her father's murder. Desperate, Isadora asks Joel to leverage his Alumni contacts to handle Luis.

Joel confronts Luis, threatening to expose him. Fearing the loss of his power, Luis decides to kill Joel. He follows Joel to the Alumni room and, in a moment of panic, stabs him when Joel unexpectedly wakes up. Joel bleeds to death, and by the time Héctor realizes what happened, it is too late.

Why did Chloe record Joel's murder?

Chloe (Mirela Balic) and her mother, Carmen (Maribel Verdú), also saw Joel as a threat. In the previous season, Dalmar (Iván Mendes) recorded a video implicating Carmen in Raul’s (Alex Pastrana) murder and attempted to blackmail her, but failed.

Carmen's sinister plans forced Dalmar to consider returning to his home country. Joel, determined to help his friend, decided to blackmail Carmen, threatening to expose her if she didn’t pay Dalmar.

Carmen refused, fearing Dalmar would continue to blackmail her even after payment. Chloe, worried, confided in her boyfriend, Eric, who suggested they scare Joel with a knife. In the alumni room, their plan backfired when Joel overpowered Eric (Gleb Abrosimov), and Dalmar entered to rescue his friend.

Eric had vowed to kill Joel, but neither he nor Chloe were the murderers. However, they played a pivotal role in solving the case. Chloe had placed her phone on a shelf to record something scandalous. After the murder, Iván and Isa found Chloe’s phone, which contained a video revealing the killer's face, providing crucial evidence in the case.

What does Omar plan with the Joel's murder video?

Instead of giving the video to the cops, Omar (Omar Ayuso) devised a better plan. He doubted the police would arrest Luis and feared the case would be closed. Although Omar wanted Luis to suffer, he couldn’t let Héctor and Emilia (Ane Rot) go unpunished. The siblings wielded extreme power and physically abused Omar after he refused to entertain them at the club.

Omar used the video to force them to sign a document admitting their attack on him. They were in prison, and the video would prove their innocence, but Héctor refused to publicly acknowledge beating Omar.

Instead, Héctor offered Omar the chance to burn down Las Encinas. Losing Samuel and Joel fueled Omar’s desire to destroy the school, which he saw as a haven for classists and fascists. Nadia helped him realize that burning down the school wouldn’t solve anything, and Héctor and Emilia would remain unpunished.

Facing threats from Luis, who discovered the video, Omar felt desperate. He then used social media, exposing the elite school’s crimes and uploading the murder video, hoping it would lead to Luis’ arrest.

In the dramatic finale of 'Elite' Season 8, Luis meets his end at Isadora House. As the police arrive to arrest him, Isadora, unaware of Omar's plan, resorts to a drastic measure. She intends to kill Luis by injecting him with poison.

However, Luis discovers her plan and retaliates by drugging her. Despite the setback, the timing of the police intervention allows Isadora to survive. Just before Luis is taken away, Isadora manages to administer the poison.

The effects are swift and fatal Luis collapses on the dance floor, succumbing to the poison almost immediately. His death marks a moment of revenge for Isadora, who finally takes control and ends the threat Luis posed. The scene is a culmination of Isadora's struggles and determination, providing a dramatic and fitting resolution to her storyline.

In the dramatic finale of 'Elite' Season 8, Omar’s exposé of Las Encinas shook the nation, compelling Principal Virginia (Godeliv Van den Brandt) to take action. Determined to bring the school’s corruption to light, she agreed to hand over all critical files to Omar, setting the stage for a thorough investigation. With Nadia by his side, Omar is poised to uncover and address long-buried scandals.

Meanwhile, Dalmar chose to forward the video of Raul’s murder to Sara, accepting the possibility of returning to his home country. Sara then sent it to Carmen, who, along with Chloe, decided to leave for a new life abroad. Chloe’s departure from Eric was emotional, leaving hope for a future reunion.

Virginia’s announcement of Las Encinas’ closure led to a humbling scene where the privileged students arrived at their new public school, realizing their previous life of luxury and excess had left them out of touch. The finale provides a fitting end, with the once-elite learning a lesson in humility.
