For the choreographer of 'Dancing With The Stars', the competition is as tough as it gets -- not only do they have to come up and teach a celebrity choreography, but they also have to perform the same for judges and an audience. But, if anything, that might be the easy part, seeing that they are going up against their peers, who are the best dancers in the business.

Emma Slater's Season 29 run with NBA player Charles Oakley may have ended before it could even begin, but the pro dancer has quite a few seasons under her belt at this point. Now, with Season 30 here, she's ready to take on the competition with country singer Jimmie Allen.

Who is Emma Slater?

Emma Slater is a professional dancer and a Choreographer. She was raised in Tamworth, Staffordshire, UK. Slater began performing at a very young age, and by the time she was ten years old, she began training in ballroom and Latin American dance. At age 16, she joined the theatre show 'Simply Ballroom' and travelled across the UK, UAE and South Africa with them. She later joined the stage show for 'Burn the Floor' and travelled across Belgium, Holland, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Canada, New Zealand, West End London and the USA. Apart from her long-standing career performing in theatre shows, she was also a part of the 2008 production of 'Mamma Mia', starring the likes of Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth.

Slater is a licensed real estate agent

Turns out, Slater isn't just passionate about dancing but has also begun a career in real-estate having earned her license sometime last year. She announced the same via an Instagram post, captioned-- "I got my real estate license today!!!! I really can’t believe it!!! Not too many people know this but I’ve been studying for quite a while, and I’ve had a passion for real estate all my life. I plan to use it for personal investments as well as help others with their real estate needs too. Now I can Cha Cha Cha round my open houses while I show you how big the closet space is! Hahahaha! Yay!"

She even made her first sale earlier this year and took to Instagram to celebrate the same. "I sold my first property today as a real estate agent! (And yes I have no property photo to show it so here’s one from a wicked shoot I did a couple of months ago ha!) The property was my first listing, a 3 bed townhome in the heart of Hollywood and it was actually one I owned with @sashafarber1! So yeah, I was my first client and as a client, I can tell you I was pretty happy with my real estste agent lol!We bought the unit over 3 years ago and today we officially closed which means it’s now owned by two fantastic, amazing new home owners! I wish them all the best for the future in their new home, I hope it is filled with so many wonderful memories and new adventures!! Congratulations to you two!! 💕🏡🎉 #realestateagent" she wrote, alongside a photo of herself.

She is married to fellow 'DWTS' pro, Sasha Farber

Slater and Farber began dating in 2011 but broke up later in 2014. However, the pair eventually reconciled and began dating the following year. In 2016, he even proposed to her during the show, after they performed together. The two tied the knot in 2018. And with it came the next question -- when are they having children. However, the couple is in no immediate rush, as they said while talking to US Weekly

"I'm a baby myself a lot," Slater mentioned. "I feel like I'm 32, so definitely I could be thinking about it, but I just still feel like I'm not quite that age yet. There's a lot of women that feel like that. I don't know if it's just [because] I'm so involved in my career." she added.
