'Dr. Pimple Popper': Man seeks Dr Lee's help to remove huge shoulder lump but fears going under the knife
Allen has been dealing with a lump on his shoulder for a long time and while he thought that it was due to his weight, he soon realized that there is more to it when he started shedding some weight.
While Allen lost a lot of weight he realized that the only thing that he was losing was his body weight while the lump on his shoulder remained the same. He further revealed that there were times when he felt a pain going through the lump whenever he worked out. To make matters worse, the lump was quite a problem for him while he worked in his garage. He was unable to reach some places easily as the lump tended to block him.
For a long time, Allen decided to ignore the lump as he was worried about what might be the outcome once he visits the doctor. His biggest fear stemmed from seeing his father pass away soon after getting knee surgery. He worried that there is a probability that something bad might happen if he decided to get surgery.
To add to his fears, Allen also feared hearing bad news if a doctor were to examine the lump. The reason that he finally decided to go under the knife was for his fiancee, April. April thought that it would be best for him to treat it and get rid of it. Even though Allen was worried about how things would go, he was pleased to know that the lump was just a lipoma. Dr. Sandra Lee advised him to get rid of the lump rather than wait for it to disappear.
Even though Allen agreed, his anxiety was taking over him. It reached a point where Dr. Lee decided to give him some medications to control his anxiety. As soon as the medicines kicked in, Dr. Lee was able to perform the surgery carefully and get the lump out. When weighed, the lump weighed 3 pounds and Allen was pleased to finally get rid of it.
