Vinny Guadagnino and Maria Elizondo had fans waiting for this moment as the chemistry between them was hard to ignore throughout the season. Vinny and Maria first started off on a bad note as past memories took up space. Maria was not pleased with how things ended between them in Season 1 and it made her question if Vinny was a nice guy.

At the same time, Vinny was not thrilled to see Maria calling him out on social media. After spending weeks not talking to each other, the two finally reconnected and tried to get on the same page. Fans were thrilled to see both of them getting along and thought this could be the start of something new for the pair.

Surprisingly, it was. With a little help from Angelina Pivarnick, Vinny got the courage to ask Maria on a date. The two had been spending a lot of time together and he thought it would be nice to go on a date to see how things turn out. While Maria accepted the offer, she was nervous about the date as she found herself to be in an awkward situation.

Vinny too had similar feelings, but the pair decided to put it aside and see how things go. When they first reached the restaurant, the two seemed to be quiet and did not have a lot to talk about. However, as time went on, they became comfortable, settled in and Vinny opened up about how he was poor before becoming famous and having a career of his own.

Maria admitted that she was happy that they had a date as it allowed her to see Vinny in a different right. Even though fans might have been hoping for them to make things official, Vinny made it clear that they were not boyfriend and girlfriend. He stated that it was just a date and dinner with nothing else.

Maria admitted that she felt the same and did not want to jump into the relationship. While the relationship boat had sailed, Vinny added that it was the "best date" he have been on. Maria was thrilled to hear this and the two ended up spending the night together. While the pair is clear on not being in a relationship, one can never tell how times might change!

'Double Shot At Love' airs on Thursdays at 8 pm ET on MTV.
