Does 'Deadpool & Wolverine' have post-credit scenes? Here's what to expect
Contains spoilers for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Deadpool & Wolverine' released in theaters on July 26, 2024. The film follows the epic superheroes Deadpool and Wolverine played by the magnificent Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman respectively.
'Deadpool & Wolverine' sees the two superheroes go up against Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin) as she goes on a path to destroy the multiverse. The only way she could be stopped is by destroying the Time Ripper in the Time Variance Authority (TVA).
Marvel Cinematic Universe in the recent past has become synonymous with epic post-credit scenes and fans have been wondering whether 'Deadpool & Wolverine' also has a post-credit scene. Let's explore.
Fantastic Four’s Johnny Storm makes an appearance in 'Deadpool & Wolverine'
In the movie, Chris Evans appears as Johnny Storm and is kidnapped by Cassandra along with Deadpool and Wolverine. When he first appears, Deadpool calls him Captain America before he clarifies who he is.
Johnny Storm gets telekinetically skinned by Cassandra after Deadpool claims he let out a curse-filled taunt directed at Cassandra which led to his death. Deadpool is blamed for the death as it is he who is shown cursing Cassandra. Deadpool pleads his innocence for the longest time throughout the film but no one believes him.
Now Deadpool and Wolverine overcome the odds and eventually defeat Cassandra by harnessing the matter and anti-matter and the film has a happy ending.
But, there is a post-credit scene that does have some clarification about this subplot about Deadpool and Johnny Storm.
Deadpool accesses TVA and shows footage of Johnny Storm cursing
Deadpool accesses the TVA HQ where he rewinds the TVA surveillance footage to show what exactly happened and what Johnny Storm really said. As it turns out, Deadpool was right about it and he shows proof of Johnny Storm's cursing.
Johnny's words are exactly what Deadpool had been saying all along. He even shows a video of Johnny telling him that he can repeat it but he risks being skinned alive.
But then we have learned at different stages of the cinematic universe that the TVA is not the most reliable source and they are not very good at this job. You can trust Deadpool to be a crafty individual so he might have manipulated their footage.
The more important takeaway from the scene is the fact that Deadpool can access the TVA HQ and that means that he is firmly in the MCU. Expect him to show up in any movie in the future out of nowhere.
