NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a recent ‘Today’ show, host Carson Daly again went missing after he returned from a long hiatus. Beloved co-host, Sheinelle Jones filled in for Daly as he remained absent.

On Monday, July 24 ‘Today’ broadcast, Carson Daly was nowhere to be found even though he recently returned to the morning show. He usually hosts the PopStart segment, however, his seat was reportedly taken by Sheinelle Jones. Although his absence was unexplained, it has not yet been revealed where or when he will be back on the show.

Where is ‘Today’ host Carson Daly?

The 50-year-old journalist was absent from the daytime TV show once again on Monday. During a particular moment on the show, Sheinelle Jones confidently stepped in to host, despite it not being her usual responsibility. During this month, many of the beloved anchors had recently taken breaks from the show. Although Daly briefly returned to the show last week but has once again disappeared from his regular slot without any clarification.

Does Carson Daly prefer ‘The Voice’ over ‘Today’?

Carson Daly has been noticeably absent from ‘Today’ over the summer, but he's been juggling his duties with his hosting role on ‘The Voice’. Recently, he shared a lighthearted Instagram photo of himself pretending to cry behind the scenes of the competition show, humorously acknowledging his longtime co-host Blake Shelton's departure. In the photo, Daly is getting his hair trimmed as part of his preparation for the show, reminiscing about their ritual of doing hair and makeup together for 23 seasons. He captioned the post, “My first day ever shooting @nbcthevoice without @blakeshelton. We had a ritual of getting hair & makeup together for 23 seasons. I think I’m handling it well. Everything’s fine." While Blake Shelton has moved on from ‘The Voice’, Daly continues to handle his hosting responsibilities with his usual charm and humor.
