If the leaked images on Twitter are anything to go by, then a lot of fans will be disappointed after having their 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' excitement fizzle out faster than a cheap soda. With less then three days for the movie to release worldwide, the Marvel blockbuster starring Benedict Cumberbatch had a few stills doing the rounds in social media, and although a few of them have been deleted, the damage seems to have been done. One of the images sparked quite the outrage.

While we all knew that there might be a John Krasinski cameo as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, the still confirms that rumor but also throws a curveball in the form of his potential death. Richards is part of the confirmed Illuminati. The group comprised Strange himself, Professor Charles Xavier, Iron Man, Black Bolt, Mr Fantastic, and Namor. The group was formed when Iron Man suggested the organization be formed after the devastating Kree-Skrull war. The movie already teased Patrick Stewart's appearance as Professor X and the appearance of Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez.

Here's a look at the leaked image:

The image was also a subject of discussion on Reddit. One of the fans hoped Wanda wouldn't wipe out the Illuminati. "Bro. I hope Captain Carter and the Illuminati aren’t dead dead. Like they get bodied but are still able to come back, (or at-least some of them like how Hercules is likely gonna survive Gorr’s attack on Olympus) because just having them all get folded by Wanda feels kinda lame." In addition there was also a brief clip that saw Krasinski' Richards, Hayley Atwell's Captain Carter and Anson Mount's Black Bolt.

From the looks of it, it does look like Richards is trying to evade Wanda's attack, but killing off the character would mean a major setback and honestly, a bummer. Much is still up in the air about the plot, but these images tell quite the story.

'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' releases May 6.
