'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness': Is it Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter in the MCU flick?
And in a snap (this one's definitely less tragic), the Marvel Cinematic Universe confirmed cameos from Patrick Stewart Professor Charles Xavier, and Captain Carter in the upcoming 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'. The latest promo saw some mind-numbing tease in the form of Captain Carter's shield and then a sneak peek at the live-action version squaring off against Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen). This comes after the studio dropped jaws earlier last week by having Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) introduce the Illuminati.
Some of these new 'Doctor Strange sequel TV spots show Captain Carter and also feature Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau's version) and Professor X. However, these sports were removed soon after, but the cat's out of the bag. That said, there is no reveal of Carter's face, nor is there any mention of Hayley Atwell who voiced the character in Marvel's animated series, 'What If...?' IMDb makes no mention of Atwell in the movie, but that shouldn't come as a surprise since it missed out on Stewart's name, but the promo actually confirms his appearance.

Marvel Studios had already teased Captain Carter as one of the major characters in the MCU going forward and that a live-action version of the character would feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). True to its word, there is a Captain Carter appearance in the offing. The only question now will be how it ends for the character. It's unlikely that her character might be killed, but what it surely does is open up the possibility of seeing more new characters.
The official synopsis of the movie reads, "To restore a world where everything is changing, Strange seeks help from his ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers' most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda. But a terrible threat looms over humanity and the entire universe that no longer can be done by their power alone. Even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange."
'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' releases May 6 in cinemas.
