'Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Disney's reboot film

Disney is all set to bring back your favorite 90's show, with the modern touch, as the streaming giant will be bringing back 'Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers' in a film format. This will be the hybrid version of the 1989 animated show. The feature film will release in spring 2022 and will be a combination of live-action and computer animation. John Mulaney and Andy Samberg will play the lead in the film. Seth Rogen will make a cameo in the film.

In the series of tweets, Disney announced a range of new projects, including sequels to 'Hocus Pocus' and 'Enchanted,' as well as reboots of 'Three Men and a Baby', 'The Mighty Ducks' and 'Sister Act'. The studio also announced that Patty Jenkins will direct a new 'Star Wars' movie, titled 'Rogue Squadron' and will release ten new 'Star Wars' series and 10 Marvel shows over the next few years.
'Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers' will release on Disney+ exclusive in the spring of 2022.
'Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers' aired in syndication for three seasons starting in 1989. It followed the two chipmunks who start a detective agency named Rescue Rangers, which focuses on crimes too small scale to be tracked by the authorities.
Born on August 26, 1982, John Edmund Mulaney is best known for his work as a writer on 'Saturday Night Live' and as a stand-up comedian in stand-up specials 'The Top Part', 'New in Town', 'The Comeback Kid' and 'Kid Gorgeous', for which he bagged the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special in 2018. Mulaney also played the character of George St Geegland in a comedic duo with Nick Kroll, most recently in 'Oh, Hello: the Podcast' which was released between April 4 and May 24, 2020. He made his debut in films in 2018, voicing Peter Porker/Spider-Ham in 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'.
Born on August 18, 1978, Samberg has been in several films, including 'Hot Rod' (2007), 'I Love You, Man' (2009), 'That's My Boy' (2012), 'Celeste and Jesse Forever' (2012), 'Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping' (2016) and 'Palm Springs' (2020). He also has had lead voice roles in 'Space Chimps' (2008), the 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' franchise (2009–2013), the 'Hotel Transylvania' film series (2012–2021) and 'Storks' (2016). Since 2013, he has played the character of Jake Peralta in the Fox, and later NBC, police sitcom 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', for which he is also a producer.
Akiva Schaffer will be directing the film. He is known for 'Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping' (2016), 'Saturday Night Live' (1975) and 'The Lego Movie' (2014).
